Back to the Future IV?Medium: Acrylic paints and colored pencils on gessoed board Size: 24 x 36 Year 1990 For Back to the Future III, drew painted two and a half finished pieces of art. The half piece was the addition of Clara to the final picture. Less known was that drew painted two pieces for consideration as the final poster. One daytime image with Marty in his old west outfit and a second painting with Marty in his 50's western outfit at night. Zemeckis and Gale decided they wanted a mixture, nighttime with the old west outfit. Drew altered the night version which is what we all know as the poster. The daytime version went unused but exists still. Signed and dated between Doc's right boot and the wheel "drew '90"
