The original artwork was done at the request of Frank Darabont, the show runner for the first season of the AMC television series the Walking Dead. Frank directed, wrote, edited and produced this stand out series.

Drew, essentially being retired from illustration, only accepted the request from Frank because he is his close friend. Drew had painted artwork for Frank’s movies including The Shawshank Redemption, the Green Mile and the Dark Tower art that appeared in The Mist. Be loyal and grateful to friends and fellow artists and support them even when retired is drew’s attitude. Artists never retire, they just stop slaving.
